Louis Seize chairs, Bayreuth around 1795
Massive walnut; carved with scale tape in the chair legs and plaited band.
Illustrated in the book of Wolfgang Eller "piece of furniture of the classicism and Louis Seize".
They most likely have been made for the country estate by Alexander Clemens von Bayreuth in 1795.
Back supports with initial Alexander Clemens 'AC' (from Bayreuth).
